City & services
Utilities, trash, and who to call at the city.

City news, council meetings, utilities, and department contacts.

Washington County Solid Waste runs curbside pickup. Enter your address for your pickup days, print a calendar, or set up reminders. Questions: (435) 673-2813.
Non-emergency police / dispatch: 435-634-5730
For anything that is not an emergency. Always call 911 if it is.
- Washington City Utilities (opens in a new tab)
Utility billing - water service and the garbage line on the same bill. Pay online through Xpress Bill Pay, by phone, or in the drop box at City Hall. Bills go out on the 5th and are due on the 25th. Utility Billing is at (435) 656-6305, Monday-Thursday 7:30am-5:30pm and Friday 8am-12pm. Not electricity: the city only supplies power north of the Virgin River, and the bench is south of it.
- Dixie Power (opens in a new tab)
Electricity out here. Report an outage or a downed line at 1-866-673-3297 - dispatch is staffed 24 hours - or through the Dixie Power app. Call 911 first for a downed line that is arcing or burning. Dixie Power is a member-owned co-op rather than a city department, so it is not who you call about water or trash. Addresses north of the Virgin River are on Washington City power instead; your bill says which.
