Schools, parks, drive times, who to call, and the links neighbors keep looking for, all in one place.
Schools
Both neighborhoods are in the Washington County School District. Horizon Elementary is the closest school, about half a mile away. Which middle and high school you're assigned to changed recently, so read the next part before you ask a neighbor.
- Official bus route & boundary lookup (opens in a new tab)
The district's own tool. Search your address for the schools it is assigned to and the bus stop that serves it. When this disagrees with anything else on this page, this is the one that counts.

The boundary map links beside each grade band are Google maps covering every school at that level, not the district's own maps. Use them to see where a line falls, and the official lookup for anything you are deciding on.

Middle & high school: two paths
Neighbors will give you different answers to this, and they may all be right. A boundary change is still working its way through.
What changed
- In November 2024 the district board voted to move this area out of the Crimson Cliffs cone and into the Pine View cone, starting in August 2025.
- So the neighborhood is Pine View now. A family moving in today should plan on Pine View Intermediate, Middle, and High.
- Students already in grades 6-12 when it took effect were allowed to stay at Washington Fields Intermediate, Crimson Cliffs Middle, and Crimson Cliffs High, without a district bus. That is why you will still see older kids on these streets heading to Crimson while their younger siblings go to Pine View.
- Boundaries do get redrawn. Check your own address rather than taking any of this as permanent.
Pine View path
Where the neighborhood is assigned now. The path to plan on if you are moving in, or if your child is starting 6th grade.
Crimson Cliffs path
Where the neighborhood used to be assigned. Still in use here by students who stayed on after the boundary change, and by Chinese immersion students.

Chinese dual immersion
Horizon Elementary runs Washington County's Chinese (Mandarin) dual language immersion program, and students start it in first grade. It's also the main reason a student from these streets ends up in the Crimson Cliffs cone.
- It starts in 1st grade at Horizon. Half the school day is taught in Mandarin.
- It continues through the Crimson Cliffs cone: Washington Fields Intermediate for 6th-7th, Crimson Cliffs Middle for 8th-9th, then Crimson Cliffs High. That's true even though the neighborhood's own boundary is now Pine View.
- An earlier version of the 2024 boundary proposal would have shifted the program over to Pine View. It was pulled before the vote, so the Crimson Cliffs path is the current one, though it has been on the table once already.
- Ask about transportation early. When the boundary changed, students staying in the Crimson Cliffs cone were told no bus would be provided, so don't assume a ride for a program that takes your student out of their cone.
- Spots are limited and the district keeps a waitlist, so register early rather than at the last minute.

District schools you apply to
Still Washington County School District, but open by application rather than by boundary, so they're an option no matter which cone your address lands in.
